The London Particular was first conceived in a two-bedroom flat in Holborn. The three of us were students in London, and, frustrated with the poor quality of our University magazine, we decided to put together something of our own – something better, something which reflected our varied interests and something which expressed our passion for the city in which we lived.
Truly, the first incarnation of The London Particular was a beautiful thing to behold. Sadly for the rest of the world, the magazine only ever existed in our heads, and despite a valiant effort to get it all down on paper, a combination of financial pressure and studenty laziness meant it never really materialised.
So here, now, is The London Particular mark 2 – a very different beast, being much more of a personal blog about all things to do with London from just the one of us. In time, perhaps, we’ll get back to where we were. But for now, this is all your getting.
